Profile
Dr. Chandra leads the Laboratory of Bio-Physio Sensors & Nanobioengineering at IIT (BHU) Varanasi.
He earned his Ph.D. from the Institute of Biophysio Sensor Technology at Pusan National University, South Korea, and completed post-doctoral training at the Technion — Israel Institute of Technology. With over 200 research articles and 19 edited books, his interdisciplinary work focuses on nanobiotechnology, nanobiosensors, lab-on-chip systems and nanomedicine.
His research on cancer detection systems has been highlighted in the Royal Society of Chemistry's world news and in Global Medical Discovery News, Canada. He is a recipient of the ICMR-Shakuntala Amir Chand Prize, the Ramanujan Fellowship and the Technion Post-Doctoral Fellowship, and is a visiting scientist at IBST, South Korea.
